Giveaway #2 featuring Lindy Wood of Woodsheddesigns

It’s time for the Design Style Guide GIVEAWAY #2 !!! We are going to be having giveaways approximately every 2 weeks! So be sure to check in often!

This giveaway features Lindy Wood at Woodsheddesigns.

Lindy says, “Hi, my name is Lindy. I live in Turner, ME with my husband of 33 years. I work full time as an LPN clinical assistant in an OB/GYN office.

I started sewing around the 5th grade at 4H. I think my first project was a heart shaped needle cushion. I didn't sew much for the next 20 years until a friend gave me a log cabin table runner pattern and I promptly told her I could not possibly do that. Here I am 13 years later.”

“I love color and texture. Fabric jumps out at me. I can walk into a store and instantly know what I will be walking out with. I don't like traditional pastel colors. I love the Amish and feel inspired by their bold quilts. If I can't make a decision about what border goes with which fabric, I just ask my husband. He is always my best advisor.”

“The best thing about my product is that every stitch, every piece of fabric and how it matches up is thought about. I don't sit down and just sew. I look and think about where every log is placed upon another. I wonder if the consumer will care or even notice but the bottom line is that I care and notice the quality and placement of my fabric. I can only hope that others will feel the attention that I give to each one of my runners or pillow covers.”

I personally had a great time searching through Lindy’s shop! I had a Grandmother who was an award winning quilter, and I quickly spotted the quality of work and love that Lindy puts into her items.

As a member of Design Style Guide (a group of artisans working to reach out to the Interior Design community ) Lindy is offering one US reader, $30.00 credit and free shipping to be spent in her shop on Etsy. The winner will be able to pick any item from Woodsheddesigns that is within the given credit limit.

(credit is NOT transferrable for cash or to any other shop)

Giveaway
Lindy from Woodshed Designs is giving one lucky reader a very beautiful Thanksgiving tablecloth. I contacted Lindy after I saw her work on Etsy. And instead of just writing a bio about her items. I thought I would post pictures instead. I am sure all of you can see why I did that :)

HANDMADE QUILTED GOODIES

Wow, these would be great runners on the table for all those wonderful food fests coming up. These lovely masterpieces take the artisan 70 steps to create and the care could not be easier, just machine wash shake and air dry...iron while damp if you like! I love that part. Handmade, beautiful and easy care, what more can we ask for?! Stop by her shop to see all the details in these items pictured here and take a look at the spectacular colors she has to offer! You can see her at http://www.woodsheddesigns.etsy.com

Feedback

I am wondering how people feel about leaving feedbacks.
Personally I think that they are a great tool. A feedback says that you are happy or unhappy with your purchase. It let you tell the seller that you are pleased with their work etc. From a sellers point of view the buyer can be acknowledged as an excellent customer or not. Fast payment is so helpful because the shipping can occur quicker.
I look at everyones feedback history that I sell to. I always feel sad when I ship a runner and never know if the customer was pleased or not. I always wonder if they liked my work.
My friend says that it no big deal. What do you think?
